Hey all,

A busy one this week — and a heads up that the Dublin Half Marathon is on this weekend, so expect a few road closures and a bit of disruption around the city. Plan ahead if you’re heading in.

Plenty going on though. Nice mix of markets, walks, creative bits, and a solid hike if you want to get out of the city.

As always — pick one thing and actually go.

What’s On This Week

  • The Foggy Dew Record Fair

  • May Day at Priory Market

  • Creativity in Draft

  • Hidden Highlights of Dublin Art Tour

  • Ticknock & Fairy Castle Cleanup Hike

  • The Royal Hospital & Easter Rising Tour

The Foggy Dew Record Fair

Location: The Foggy Dew, Temple Bar
Date & Time: Saturday 12-4

A proper dig-through-the-crates kind of day. Expect vinyl sellers, rare finds, and a few hidden gems if you’ve the patience.

Creativity in Draft

Location: See listing
Date & Time: Check listing

A relaxed creative session focused on ideas in progress — writing, thinking, sharing. No pressure to be polished, which is kind of the point.

This is a space for people of colour and members of the global majority. This is welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ people of colour.

Hidden Highlights of Dublin Art – Southside Tour

Location: Wolfe Tone Sculpture
Date & Time: Sunday at 10:30

A guided walk through lesser-known art spots around the southside. Good mix of history, culture, and bits you’d normally walk past.

If you enjoy Dublin Buzz and find these roundups useful, you can support the work over on Buy Me a Coffee.

It helps cover the time spent digging out events, keeping things up to date, and making sure the good stuff stays free and easy to find. No pressure at all, just a simple way to back the project if it’s been helpful to you.

Ticknock & Fairy Castle Cleanup Hike

Location: Ticknock / Dublin Mountains
Date & Time: Check listing

Bit of a workout with a purpose. Hike up to Fairy Castle while helping clean the trails. Solid views at the top as well.

Heal the Hill is a community for nature lovers, hikers, and changemakers who believe the outdoors is not just for exploring — it's for protecting. They organize weekend hikes around Dublin and beyond for the ever-growing litter problem in recent days, with a mission to leave every trail better than it was found it.

It’s always good to give organisers a heads up if you’re coming by reserving a ticket!

The Royal Hospital & Easter Rising Tour

Location: Royal Hospital Kilmainham
Date & Time: Sunday @ 12:30

A deeper look into one of Dublin’s most historic sites, with links back to the Easter Rising. If you’re into history, this is a strong one.

One of our guides will bring you through all the facets of the Easter Rising and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. They will discuss different characters attached to the site, their roles, influence and what followed. What we can learn and what has been forgotten.
