What's Happening in Dublin this Weekend - April 3rd - Free Events

April sunshine feels oh so good.

Hey all,

Easter weekend is here, and Dublin is leaning fully into it.

We’ve got fairs, workshops, music, exhibitions — and plenty for families if you’re trying to keep small people entertained (or just want an excuse to embrace the chocolate-heavy chaos).

It’s one of those weekends where you can easily fill a full day just wandering between things.

Here’s what’s on:

This Week’s Picks

  • Richmond Barracks Easter Fair

  • Easter Celebration – Pepper Canister Church

  • Water & Flow – Feltmakers Ireland Exhibition

  • Blanchardstown Easter Egg Hunt

  • Easter Bath Bomb Workshop – Lush Henry Street

Richmond Barracks Easter Fair
Saturday | 11am–5pm

This is the standout one this weekend.

A full day of workshops, crafts, food, music and family-friendly activities in Richmond Barracks. It’s got that proper “community day out” feel — loads going on, easy to dip in and out of.

You can:

• Make bunny ears and puppets (yes, adults included if you want)
• Try felt-making and create your own Easter basket
• Join a family dance party
• Explore nature workshops in the garden
• Catch live singing performances
• Browse local designers and makers
• Eat your way through the food stalls

Free entry, dog-friendly, and genuinely something for everyone.

A Festive Easter Celebration
Pepper Canister Church

A more traditional take on the weekend — music, reflection, and a beautiful setting inside one of Dublin’s most iconic churches.

If you’re looking for something calm and atmospheric, this is a lovely option.

If you enjoy Dublin Buzz and find these roundups useful, you can support the work over on Buy Me a Coffee.

It helps cover the time spent digging out events, keeping things up to date, and making sure the good stuff stays free and easy to find. No pressure at all, just a simple way to back the project if it’s been helpful to you.

Water & Flow – Feltmakers Ireland Exhibition

An exhibition exploring texture, craft and storytelling through felt.

If you enjoyed last week’s creative workshops or want something a bit slower-paced, this is a nice one to pair with a coffee and a wander.

Blanchardstown Easter Egg Hunt

Classic Easter chaos (the good kind).

Perfect for families — expect plenty of excitement, sugar highs, and competitive egg hunting energy.

Easter Bath Bomb Workshop – Lush Henry Street

Make your own bath bombs with a seasonal twist.

Hands-on, a bit different, and you get to bring something home with you. Good option if you want a short activity in town between other plans.
